On 28th November we visited the main fire-brigade station in Milan. After a short introduction, of one of the team leaders of the firemen we began our visit. The firs place we visited was the gym, and there we were welcomed by some of the team leaders( Fontana and Servo di Dio ). Than we visited the museum where the responsible explained to us the different evolutions of the firemen equipment (including the uniforms). Than we saw the different devices of the firemen and the first types of fire trucks. Also we heard something about their department story. Then we watched some training exercises and the exam of a team assessed by the commissioner from Rome. Then we learned the different kind of acoustic signals. At the end of the visit, the fireman gave the English student some presents such as the book about the story of the firemen.

If a student is interested in becoming a fireman he has to:

1.  Get the diploma of the secondary education with good marks. Your diploma specialization can help you  in your selection.

2.  Attend classes for 6 months in Rome.

3.  Get though an oral and written test.

4.  Not to have brought back penal sentences, not to have penal procedures, not to be subordinate to prevention measures

5.  Minimum height is 1.65m.

6.  Excellent sights.

7.  Good health.
