We decided to send a questionnaire to the Finnish students, our partners in the project, here is the report of their answers:

      1. Which departments is your school divided in?

Our school is divided in: Culture, Transport, Tourism, Catering and Home Economics, Health and Social Services, Technology, Electrotechnology and every week we attend 32 classes.

2. Which subjects do you study?

We study the basic subjects (Math, Finnish, English, ect…) and vocational subjects (Psychology, use of force/self defence, risk management, legislation, ect…).

3. Do some of your friends work part time? If yes, which kind of jobs do they get?

Some of our friend work part time, for example: Security guard, Customer service  in an amusement park, a shop assistant and a warehouseman.

4. Which jobs will you be able to get after your diploma?

If you get a diploma, we can continue studying safety and security, we can work as a safety and security-expert in companies, some of us are going to try to join the police forces, customs, fire and rescue services and defence forces.We have a lot of opportunitiens,because the field of safety and security is so wide.

5. Which skills are necessary in order to get a job?

For to get a job are necessary have to be social, accurate, trust worthy and you can not have a criminal record.

6. How much do you usually earn at your first working experince?

We usually earn at your first working experince depends where you work, but the payment usually in our sector is low.The basic salary is about 1600€.

7. Would you like to get a working experience in Italy? Yes

 

Last April the Italian team composed of two teachers and one student from 4TIEN took part in a Comenius project meeting in Vantaa Finland. The principal of Maxwell and Settembrini was there owing to a study visit.The Italian student was hosted by the Finnish student and thanked them for this great opportunity.The partners and the coordinator met together and everyone introduced the material organized in every school, the Italian student introduced the Web site created by all the different classes and the Power Point too.This meeting gave everyone the possibility to strenghten the link among them and to plan the following steps such as the meeting in Milan in November 2004 and teachers’ exchanges too.
